About us

This company was founded in the year 2003, in Catalonia, fruit of the meeting between Milton and Gala.

Till then they both had worked separately with other professional companies of dance and circus, until one day they decided to follow his artistic way together and like that it was born Diablos de la Pampa (Devils of the Pampas).

Milton

Milton Mânica is a gaucho from South of Brazil. He began his artistic career in
1987 at age of 12 years old. His dexterity with the boleadoras in so earlier age was the main atraction in the famous dinner show for many years.

Milton was the principal dancer in “Galpao Criollo - Dinner Show" in Porto Alegre where he performed with the Boleadoras every day until the year 2000.

In this period he presented and gained the first prize in the International Festival in Johannesburgo, South Africa (1993), acted two weeks in the Museum of the Louvre of Paris (1998) and he has been special guest on 14 different television channels in Brazil. Several newspapers have published articles about he and his mastery with the boleadoras.

In the year 2000 motivated for growing and to enlarge his artistic development he came to Europe.

Gala

Gala Georgieva began her dance studies in 1988 in the National Dance School in Sofia (Bulgaria) and in 1997 she graduated as professional dancer. In 1997 she also began her university studies for choreographer in the Academy of Art, Music and Dance in Plovdiv (Bulgaria). In 1999 she won the foundation “Prof. Ivan Spasov” prize for gaining the highest marks.
Till 2001 she studied Choreographic Composition, History of the Dance, of the Art and of the Theatre, Pedagogic Psychology, Methodology of Education, Mastery of the Actor, Dramaturgy and Musical Aesthetics, Piano, scenic Assembly.

From earlier age she knows the scenes of the Opera and Ballet Theatre in Sofia, the National Palace of the Culture and Plovdiv Amphitheatre, where with The Dance School they did presentations every year.
In this period she performed in Vienna (Austria) and Istanbul (Turkey), too.

Gala Georgieva left his native country to look for new horizons and a cultural exchange, so in 2002 she came to Spain.

Art company Diablos de la Pampa

In 2000 Milton did performance for the summer season in Menorca. The same artistic agency conracted him for the show in Tunisia. In 2001 Gala and Milton shared stage for several months In Tunisia and Milton started teaching to Gala the dexterity with the boleadoras. They continued together in Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and Gran Canarias.
In 2003 they came to Catalonia where decided to create his own artistic company " Devils of the Pampas ".

Milton's knowledge on the culture and the gaucho folklore, and the formation and the knowledge of Gala of dance and creation of a spectacle, has helped them be very much successful. In their creation and innovation of spectacle, in the years 2003, 2004, 2005 they invited artists from Argentina, Brazil and Bulgaria to work with them.

Since 2007 till now they are freelance artists. In the summer seasons they perform with his complete show in Catalonia, Spain and the rest of the year they get contracts to perform around the world in Festivals, Christmas Circus, special events and etc.
